Gilgal and Medstar Foundations is a humanitarian organization created in 2017 with a missionary and medical perspective.

Our mission is to promote social and economic development through the empowerment of women, girls, and vulnerable youths. To this end, we seek to empower families through education, and to improve medical wellness for women, children and youths through workshops and learning programs.

How Gilgal and Medstar Foundations has benefited the Community

So far, Gilgal and Medstar Foundations has been able to:

1. Provide food items and clothing to hundreds of displaced families along the Nigeria-Cameroon borders fleeing from conflict and war in their respective countries.
2. Provide clothing and tuition to internally and externally displaced children of school-going age along the Nigeria-Cameroon borders during the COVID pandemic.
3. Provide Tuition and fees to internally displaced children within the South West Region of Cameroon.
4. Provide food items and clothing to some 60 orphans at the God First Orphanage in Tiko (SW Cameroon).
5. Enable 11 orphans of school-going age from the God First Orphanage to go to school through the provision of tuition fees, uniforms and didactics materials.
6. Renovate two hospital wards (Maternity and Children’s) in Tiko (SW Cameroon) to take care of women and girls who have suffered violence.
7. Provide free medical consultations and over-the-counter medications as well as first aid to the under-served and underprivileged in the Community (Tiko and Limbe, SW Cameroon).
8. Empower families by providing micro finance for small business start-ups or expansion to women in Anglophone Cameroon and in Houston, Texas.
9. Improve the living conditions of families by providing food and clothing to the homeless in Houston, Texas.

• Establish two (04) support centres for the provision of basic psycho-social support, health, physical and safety needs, as well as referrals for more sustainable and intensive care.
• Enable youths acquire self-help skills, job-search technics and small business start-ups through seminars.
• Restore hope and self-esteem to families through family counselling thus enabling them lead more successful lives in the society.
